We appreciated the warm welcome, the room was really big, very comfortable and quiet. It was only a short trip to the town center and although we didn't use it, the shuttle service is a great idea.
did not realize i had a shared kitchen with the next room. felt uncomfortable with the lack of privacy
Next to a nice restaurant (Thai).
The toilet was undersized.
The staff was very helpful. The location was perfect to the Shakespeare Festival. The restaurant recommendations were right on. They shuttled us downtown at no charge. The grounds were lovely. We were very satisfied.
The kitcen was published as a kitchenette but was a full kitchen. The staff left a birthday ake for my wifes birthday which was very thoughtful. The cleaning staff did a great job.
The pool was a bit over chlorinated.
Easy access to downtown. Accommodating 6 party 1 room family combo. Kitchenette and clean swimming pool. It's not the Ritz but for the price definitely not a bad place to stay for one night on a family road trip through town.
I liked the management and my breakfast. Thank you!
The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite clean. The management stayed open past office closing hours to allow me to check in. The area had a wonderfully warm, friendly atmosphere and there was a world-class, (in my opinion) coffee shop right up the street to get the drive home started right.
The office closes at 10PM and this fact is nowhere to be found on Booked.net. I incurred a $328 speeding ticket trying to make it there on time from Southern California. (My fault, but still, this sillyness could have been avoided had I known I needed to leave earlier.) The room was smaller than I expected based on the pictures found on Booked.net. This was not an issue, but I did feel like the pictures were misleading. I do understand that the pictures were likely from a larger class of room so there is no problem, I just think in fairness there should be ones from the small rooms included as well.
Bob, the manager, graciously accomodated our request to move to a room off the main street, and even upgraded us from a queen to a king room.
If you are after a spa, this motel is not for you. If you would like a clean, comfortable motel that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg, this is a great option. We rented the family room. The are 2 large rooms, each with its own bathroom, separated by a kitchenette--plenty of privacy. We found the rooms were very clean-no mildew, no grunge in the corners, no surprises. The breakfast is only okay--but the kitchenette gives you the option of making your own.
It's hard to buy local when it comes to motels, because they can be hit or miss--it's usually just better to go with something you know will work. But this one worked.
Staff was under new management and were in the process of up dateing rooms and the grounds. The new owners were also equiping all kitchettes with utensils, eating ware, pot, and pans. This was a change from the last owners who did not provide those services. The cleaning staff was great and very helpful as were the new management team.
When reserving our rooms the breakfast was offered, but as it turned out, not everyday. If this is the new owners standard then it should be posted as such,
Gross used latex glove sitting on the floor when I walked into the room.
rooms were clean, staff was very helpful, pools were cleaan, great breakfast, Manager & staff very very helpful, shuttle service was so nice!!! would stay and recommend this place to all.
Handicap room was very small, little room for wheelchair.
